i just walked in from standing alone, in my backyard, with my brother's mangy blanket, under the rain, watching the lightning.
before that, i went on a midnight canal road bike ride with destin and patrick and ashley and watched the lightningplay around the fringes of the sky, just picking up speed as we loaded our bikes up to leave.
before that, we stargazed in a park on a hill, lightning and meteors breaking the regimental arrangement of the stars.
before that, we played hands-up-stands-up in my yard. i judged.
before that, we watched the sunset fade as we spun around in circles with our heads back looking at the clouds and laughing and tripping and face-planting and dizzily watching the sky play wheel of fortune above us as we lay, pinned to the solidness of the grass.
before that, we watched the encore to last night's spectacular sunset which ignited the whole sky. tonight's was more tame, but just as breathtaking.
before that, we went to pizza pie cafe and ate many good things.
tonight was a good night.
your head is on fire -- broken bells
blue ridge mountains -- fleet foxes
world spins madly on -- the weepies
