what the fun.?

OHEMGEE. they were really so great. i felt sad, though, that i missed fork fest. i was so looking forward to ogling joshua james and isaac russell and the rest of the local crew. but eric painted red and new crazy friends and hot tamale man hitting on me and midnight sushi still made it unforgettable. even if my outfit was heinous.

speaking of outfits.... who the cuss would think i, me, lindsey, of all people, would become a fashion maniac??? that's right. probably no one.
actually, i don't even think i'm a fashion maniac yet.
but i'm becoming one.
and it's freaking me out.
it's not so much expressed in what i wear. i don't have enough money (or natural good looks, for that matter)to look splendid every day. but as of a month ago, i have become a rabid follower of this blog, and this one, and this, and frequently surf around to others. their thrift-store, vintagey, hippie-chic looks leave me itching to run to savers or d.i. and discover something great. i don't want to become materialistic, though. well, i already am, but i mean more so. it may not justify it all, but i've come to think of fashion less as a vanity statement and more as an art form. i think that's part of the reason why people love it so much. who wouldn't want to be a walking masterpiece?
i think it'd be pretty cool.
the conclusion to this scattered post?

if i had a sewing machine and a treasure trove of thrift stores close by, my wardrobe would be fantastic.

but morally speaking, i'm still not sure if that's a good thing.
