paperback writer

so my two small brothers/demons and i put our money together two nights ago and ventured to wally's world. this world is a super-sterile, warehouse-esque, aisled maze of headache-causing supermarketing. after entering the well-defended stronghold, we battled the guards in blue vests, slinked our way through the labyrinth, and dodged angry mothers with small children. and just when we thought all hope was lost, we came upon the treasure we had hoped for. the holy grail. the cause of our quest and the reason we never gave up hope. it was behind a locked sliding door in the electronics section.

the beatles rock band.

victorious at last, we procured this jewel of video games, and strolled back through the shining store, smiling at the skipping children and waving to the vested greeter at the door. our mission accomplished, nothing was wrong with the world, not even the surly, masculine-looking woman herding carts in the parking lot. we saw her as the fairy godmother bidding us farewell with a wave of her magic wand, and thanked her in our hearts for providing us with such a masterpiece of technology as was then in our trembling hands.
when we arrived home, we proceeded to open the case, gently prod it into the wii console, and had to hold back tears of joy as we strummed or pounded the first soul-enriching notes on our plastic imitations of those instruments that had originally created such wonder. for one night, i was paul mccartney. and george harrison. john lennon. even ringo starr. and the world never seemed better.
