(not a question.)
60 degrees in the a.m., and we get a semi-blizzard after dark.
welcome to utah, everyone.
so i put on my boots and my coat and walked outside, and while some were shuffling along, bowing their heads to the wind, i joined the others who couldn't help tossing their hoods back and catching the flakes on their tongues. i didn't think much when i was out there --ha. do i ever?-- but i couldn't help thinking one of my favorite sights in the world is watching snow fall under a light.
and so, as i turned the corner and cut between two massive evergreen trees, now mostly white, and i stepped onto the sidewalk that curls past the river and duck pond, i literally stopped in my tracks when i looked up and saw the bell tower. its spotlights were singing, just like every other night, but they made the sky look grey-white, and the snow swirling and shifting and curling and sifting through the lights--!
what a sight.
rabbit heart (raise it up) -- florence + the machine
