today, i realized i'm very torn between two people. one who hates me, and one who i don't have a chance with in a million years. my life is average, i suppose. surprising what little comfort that gives me.
today, i thought about what i wanted for christmas, after being so jarringly (is that a word?!) reminded of its iminence today watching the city people put up lights on the park trees.
and. wait for it. i made this list. even though it's only the 16th. i figure if i give the big man in red a few weeks advance notice of the rush of requests, i might have a better chance of him listening to my humble (if greedy) pleas.
1.choir tour. (i needs me some serious ca$$$$$hhh.)
2.polaroid camera. that actually works.
3.film for afore-mentioned camera. (however, these are mutually inclusive. one without the other would be kind of pointless, if not counter-productive.)
4.clothing. pretty much all from modcloth.com.
5.and, if there's any money or goodness in your heart left over from that, then a new ipod would be nice. you know. just something with a smidgen more memory than my 91-song first generation shuffle. but. i can handle it.
6.books, books, and more books! like a copy of my favorite book ever, the picture of dorian gray by oscar wilde. etc.
7.money to see as tall as lions/minus the bear, rooney, fun., tegan and sara, and any other shows i want to participate in.
8.some more piano students.
man. i'm a greedy wretch. i feel bad posting this.
p.s. as a follow-up to my previous post, just let me say, forgiveness is really... really... really hard. but. i'm trying.
p.p.s. the title of this post(er) is a quote from if work permits by the format. please. listen. it is so good.
