why do i do this to myself?!
honestly. you'd think after twelve years of school, i'd be a little further on the train-track of learning than the station door.
but no.
i insist on waiting the last minute to do everything. whether it's retaking a miserably failed (okay, it was a D+. not entirely failing) calculus test, finish my yearbook page which was due two weeks ago, finish (or begin) my college applications due in a week, actually exert some effort to learn the 30 pieces of christmas music thrown carelessly into our laps and shoved dutifully down our throats by our choir president and ms j, or make some headway on the christmas presents i'm making for my friends.
no.
see, that is logical. who expects me of all people to think logically?! i spend too much of my time daydreaming and reading and socializing (when the rare opportunity arises) to think logically. on the plus side, however, today begins the blessed 5-day thanksgiving weekend. you'd think that would give me adequate time and motivation to complete these mountains of responsibility piling ever closer around my head, right?
no.
i know myself better than that.
word of the day: skank: a rhythmic dance performed to reggae or ska music, characterized by bending forward, raising the knees, and extending the hands. (I've also heard it used to describe a girl who listens to ska. [which i'm just getting into a teensy weensy bit.])
