mapped out

okay. listen right now. my future house will have:
-a wraparound porch. this is a must. ever since i read farenheit 451 in 10th grade i realized a front porch is indispensible.
-a library. also a must. whether just a couple bookshelves or an entire room, my children must read. and if they don't, my husband and i will. often. by candlelight. (just kidding. romantic, but bad for the eyes.)
-a GIANT yard. i love people, but not so much that they should be allowed to sleep feet from my bathroom. i'm sick of this crammed-in feeling neighborhoods are having these days. plus i like to play outside. a gravel driveway and four square feet of yellowing grass aren't that ideal for a spontaneous game of kickball.
-an extensive garden. like: a rose garden. don't judge me, i know it's girly and weird. and: a spice garden. we had one last year just for cilantro and basil and oregano, and i loved going outside and sticking my head in the flower pot and smelling the organic-ness. as well as: a vegetable garden. since we were told to. and if for no other reason, few earthly pleasures compare to the taste of fresh garden salsa. and finally: an orchard. or at least a few trees. i loves fresh fruits.
-a piano. if i have to sell my left arm, i will have a piano when i have my own house. i'm not sure what i would do without it. probably never be able to sing on-pitch again. and have to resort to guitar hero and my blog to keep up my finger strength.
-a kick-AY sound system. duh. this is me we're talking about. pretty much a given.

but if it doesn't have all those things, i think i'll survive.
i guess the most i can ask for is a bed and four walls.
oh and a roof.
that would be nice, too.
