taking medicine before you go to bed for the sole purpose of staying asleep all night sometimes backfires. or at least, it does to me. sheesh, i have a seriously hard time sleeping at home now.
or maybe it could have something to do with those three gaping holes in my head i told you about before.
i'm sitting on the couch with the lamp on, listening to my dad's snoring in the other room, my head on a mountain of pillows, an ice pack under my chin. it really is a super cute sight, i wish you were here to witness it. what? no i don't!! get over here! get outta here!
phew. i need to get to sleep. the morning is coming.
and can i tell you how much i hate drugs? like really. so i made do with ibuprofen and sucked it up. (not literally. i can't suck anything for a little while.) but then i thought, oh, i'll take some of the actual painkiller crap before i go to bed, because supposedly it makes you really tired and loopy and that'll be great for keeping me asleep, right?
very, very wrong.
i crawl under my little makeshift bedcovers at 11:00 p.m., tired and starting to get unpleasantly loopy. fall asleep fairly quickly. 1:30 hits and my eyes snap open and i'm wide awake. tired, but wide awake, as i soon discovered to my displeasure, when the peaceful dreaming didn't come back by 2:30. and i'd rather be on my computer or reading instead of sitting wide awake but exhausted in the dark, so here i am. with nothing to do but post in my blog and tell the whole world how bored/boring i am.
that being said, well, i have nothing left to say.
so, for all you lucky kids out there who are sleeping, pleasant dreams.
me and icy here might be up for a little bit longer.
